Account Deletion
Effective Date: July 1, 2024
Overview: This Account Deletion Policy outlines the procedures and guidelines for users who wish to delete their accounts on the Design For Everyone platform.
Deletion Procedure: Users can delete their account by going to > Edit profile settings from profile page. Upon clicking on ‘Close my account’ a confirmation modal will pop up. If a user is sure of deleting their account, by clicking on the delete button will delete their account.
Verification: To ensure the security and privacy of our users, Design For Everyone will verify the identity of the account owner before processing the deletion request. This may involve confirming account details, requesting additional information, or using multi-factor authentication.
Processing Time: Account can be deleted almost instantly upon request..
Data Retention: Once an account is rectified or deleted, all associated personal information and data will be permanently removed from our system. However, certain information may be retained for legal, accounting, or compliance purposes in accordance with applicable laws and regulations of our Data Retention Policy.
Communication: Users will be notified via info@dfe.gov.bd once their account deletion/rectification request has been successfully processed. This communication will confirm the deletion/rectification and provide any additional information regarding the process.
Exceptions: In some cases, Design For Everyone may be legally or operationally obligated to retain certain user data even after an account is deleted. Users will be informed of such exceptions as applicable under the Data Privacy laws.
Recovery Options: After an account is deleted, users may need to create a new account if they wish to use Design For Everyone services in the future. Deleted accounts cannot be recovered, and all associated data will be irreversibly erased.

Changes to the Policy: Design For Everyone reserves the right to update or modify this Account Rectification/Deletion Policy at any time. Users will be notified of any changes through the official company communication channels.
